OTHER TAILORED PROGRAMMES OR INITIATIVES
We do not restrict ourselves in the ways in which we link business, people and communities. Indeed, there are many ways to create powerful experiences for individuals, businesses, partner organisations and beneficiaries, both in the UK and overseas.
On the corporate front, one example is reward trips for high-performing employees — but instead of a few days celebrating in a chic city or on the beach, why not reward employees by giving them the opportunity to work on a community project in Africa or Asia? This will ultimately be much more fulfilling and rewarding than an 'old-fashioned' incentive trip and will stick in the memory much, much longer.
On a separate note, we believe that individual philanthropists have a great deal to gain from visiting and experiencing the community projects in developing countries to which they donate. This will enable them to develop a real relationships and an emotional link with the projects that they fund. We're well placed to plan and deliver such experiences.
Continuing the theme of the developing world, Simon Hamilton, Three Hands' founder, is rapidly developing his expertise on India, with a view to both developing Three Hands' ability to run Socially Responsible Developmentª programmes in this enormously important country, but also to ensure that we have the right contacts in place to enable business and communities to benefit fully from engaging with each other.
