Three Hands Forum 2019: Bringing Purpose to Life
Our forum brought people together to hear from purpose-driven leaders, explore whether purpose is all talk and no action, and learn from great case studies in leadership development, community engagement and product & service development.
At Three Hands, we are inspired by the idea that companies have a purpose beyond profit. Today, everyone is talking about purpose, but has it led to the changes in businesses that society needs? For our Forum on 12th November 2019, we invited a fantastic group of speakers to historic Toynbee Hall in East London to share different experiences of bringing purpose to life in their organisations.
We heard from two inspirational CEOs of charities and social enterprises – arguably the original purpose-driven organisations – on what it takes to be a purpose-led leader and how anyone in a large corporate organisation can work to the same principles.
We debated whether purpose is all talk and no action, with some compelling arguments that ensured we were not all furiously agreeing with one another.
We had speakers from Royal London, William Hill, Santander, Interface and M&G Prudential talking about bringing purpose to life through leadership development, community engagement, and products & services.
